Service Description:

Purpose: West Palm Beach Parks enhance the quality of life for our family of citizens within our available means by providing and facilitating safe, quality services, programs and facilities, while preserving our history and protecting our natural resources. Our Parks are classified as metropolitan, community, or neighborhood parks.

Recreation areas managed by City of West Palm Beach Parks .Department metropolitan parks, neighborhood parks, community parks, cemeteries, open/green spaces. Display locations of West Palm Beach Parks and Public Golf courses

Intended Use: Currently used for locational purpose in Park Locator and West Palm Beach Parks Storymap

Data Source: SDE Layer in PSQL10-GIS-AG1 database parks dataset

How was the Data Manipulated: Geocoded by address aligned with aerial photography.

How the Data is Modified: Input from Parks Department and edits preformed by GIS staff

Update Frequency: As-Needed

Note: Source data for Golf Courses is Palm Beach County GOLFCOURSE layer. The data was geoprocessed from polygon to point is staging db and a queried was applied for loading private and public courses into the hosted feature service in March 2020. The data should be updated as needed as of March 2020 there are 106 courses.
