Purpose: This polygon feature class represents spatial location of stidewalks. The Public Works department maintains WPB owned assets . The ownership attribute has categories for PBC,FDOT, WPB, and Privately owned assets. Private owned stidewalks were identified as such because they are located within a private (gated community) or in a parcel and not located in the public ROW.

Intended Use: The primary use is for Public Works to identify WPB owned assets. Other departments have made other requests from this layer but since his layer is not currently maintained the requests are often discarded or cancelled. The data gaps were created by not assigning a GIS team member to be responsible for updating the layer periodically, Also the ownership attribute needs to be verified and updated along with other incomplete attribute sinformation. The condition attribute can be updated by overlaying the DTS sidewalk condition inventory.Users of this data should exercise caution and field verify their study areas.

How was the Data Manipulated: Data was added to GIS from various sources in 2012 . During March 2021 the data was loaded into an ESRI sidewalk inventory solution schema

It's recommended that a GIS team member update the features by heads up digitizing on accurate georeferenced aerials and populate all attributes. Service Level Agreements (SLA) may need to be ccreated for maintenance responsibilities to keep the data current.

Update Frequency: Currently needs to be updated (Recommend the GIS team look at AI processing for managing change and scheduling annual updates)

Note: This data in this layer was assembled from various planimetric data sources and some heads up digitizing from 1990's to present. During March 2021 the layer was reformatted into this ESRI LGIM schema for loading into PSQL-GIS-AG1 database.
