Service Description: <DIV STYLE="text-align:Left;"><DIV><DIV><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">Purpose: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">Inventory of water service lines. The water service lateral is the pipe that provides water from the water main in the street to a home or business. For residences this pipe is usually 1 inch in size and runs from the water main into the home where the water meter is installed. A typical water service lateral includes a tap at the main, a length of pipe to a location at or near the street right-of-way line, a curb stop and box, and another length of pipe into the building being served.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">Intended Use: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">Currently used for location purpose in the Water Distribution mobile apps, and other Public Utility apps Utility Network and Dashboards.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">Department: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">Public Utilities Department - Water Distribution Division</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">Data Source: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">Referenced feature service on enterprise portal</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">How was the Data Manipulated: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">Data was added to GIS from an ESRI script to connect meters to nearest water mains to get the inventory into GIS. A data scrubbing effort ensued to move the transmission mains to service lines and redlines provided by Public Utilities field workers and Engineering staff.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">How the Data is Modified: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">GPS technicians are adding meter scans to the hyperlink field so the scan be be accessed through ArcGIS Pro desktop. Update will be made if sufficient information is received by GPS Technicians.</SPAN></P><P><SPAN STYLE="font-weight:bold;font-size:12pt">Update Frequency: </SPAN><SPAN STYLE="font-size:12pt">As-Needed and new information provided by Engineering, Public Utilities or Water Distribution supervisors. </SPAN></P></DIV></DIV></DIV>
